1.What is 1 beauty product you cannot live without?
Being raised in an Italian family, loyalty has always been a priority for us. Not only are you born to your family, I believe close friends are your chosen family. Loyalty is a must-have quality in the people I choose to surround myself with - whether born into or chosen. It is important to know that in this ever-changing world my family’s unwavering support is a constant.
2.If you had to do over anything what would it be?
When I notice that my mindfulness and self care practices are on the back burner I know I have let stress takeover my overall wellness. To help manage my stress, I like to refocus on prioritizing my mental health by taking myself on a “date†or planning out extra self care in the morning before work. Sometimes you just have to make the time even when it seems like there is no time for yourself.
3.Who would you love to meet and why?
Living with anxiety, I struggle handling situations that are out of my control. I changed my mindset by saying “I may not be able to control the world, but I can always control my reaction.†I adopted the practice of mindfulness to focus on being aware of what I am feeling in the moment. I evaluate how I need to process my emotions in order to keep my anxiety under control.
4.Favorite vacation?
Dignity is keeping your chin up no matter what is happening around you. I received criticism for being a performer, model, and pageant queen with a bigger body, but I have never let it stop me. While the passive aggressive comments and insults can affect me in private, I let myself feel those emotions, but I pick myself up, and continue my job. The negativity fuels me to be even better than anyone could predict.
5.What do you normally eat for breakfast?
Something no one knows about my family is that my maternal great great grandfather was a professional singer. He was a regular performer at the famous Lundy’s Restaurant in Brooklyn which is a city landmark. I found this out only after I was already attending a musical theater program in Manhattan. Unknowingly, I followed in his footsteps!
