Ashley Kowal - Top 7

1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
My “Clarins Lip Comfort Oil” is a must! Even if I am in a hurry, I always have time for a little shine. This always keeps my lips hydrated and soft, which is needed so I can pair it with a big smile every day. With this product, I always shine from the inside out! Plus, it gives my lips a nice pink sheen, which I love because I am definitely a Barbie pink girl!

2. What is the strangest thing in your fridge?
I wish I started pageantry earlier on in life. I wish I had the confidence and voice that I do now to be a part of something so inspiring. It would have been amazing to have been introduced to the International system earlier on, but I know that God’s timing is always right, and what is meant for me will not miss me. Now that I found International Pageants, I am giving it my all!

3.What’s something you only do when you’re bored?
If I had the privilege to meet anyone, it would be US Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. I would love to share my take on culturally-inclusive learning in the classroom and stress how important it is to show representation of all cultures in school. It would be especially meaningful to meet him because he is a shining example of my platform with his bicultural upbringing, having moved to Connecticut from Puerto Rico as a child.

4.What is a purchase you made that you immediately regretted?
I was fortunate enough to travel to Belize while getting my Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I was able to teach students English for an entire month and engulf myself into a brand new culture. Teaching in Belize made me realize my passion for teaching and my passion for learning about different cultures. I would love to travel back to Belize as Miss International 2024!

5.What kind of Barbie would you be?
My go-to is delicious chocolate chip pancakes. Growing up, my family and I would make them from scratch every Sunday. It is definitely my comfort meal. I have a big sweet tooth, so it always hit the spot! I don’t have these that often, but when I do, I try to make them a little healthier by adding a little protein powder so I can stay fit for the fitness competition.
