Miss Midwest International®

Nicole Kaapke

Nicole Kaapke, Miss Midwest International 2007, has been an active and diligent Cancer advocate for over eight years. Throughout her life she has been exposed to the struggle, sacrifices and loss caused by Cancer. Inspired by the loss of her grandmother to a 12-year battle with Intestinal, Lung and Brain Cancer in 2001, Nicole has been promoting Cancer awareness, education and has given support to her family, friends and community.

Through her platform “FULL CIRCLE: Learn, Live, Link” Nicole has been spreading the word and informing others of the dangers and preventative measures of all types of Cancer. There is life after Cancer and that there are people, not only friends and family, but faceless strangers that are willing and eager to help give them support, strength and compassion during their time of need.  By volunteering, fundraising and working with small "grass root" organizations like Imerman Angels and the Bear Necessities Pediatric Foundation, as well as larger mainstream groups like the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Nicole is on a life long journey to a road of endless dedication for the cause.
